This lecture course aims at providing a theoretical introduction into the economic issues related to the tasks of the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Monetary Fund (IWF) and the World Bank. It also presents the historical evolution and the current functioning of the WTO, the IMF and World Bank. One main objective is to encourage students to develop a critical appraisal of the role played by the WTO, the IMF and the World Bank.
