This course deals with
the key aspects of a multinational company’s business ethics and corporate
social responsibility. This course highlights a number of specific CSR topics
such the economic, social and environmental aspects of doing business in a
global context, the social responsibility when a firm sets up factories or
outsources production in a context of developing countries, international
business and corruption.
The course aims to enable students
to develop a personal reflection and awareness on CSR issues, while both
studying cases and investigating a real multinational company case. As such
this course aims to increase the student’s understanding of personal and
business ethics, which is a prerequisite for developing a strategic perspective
on Corporate Social Responsibility in an international context. Therefore,
students will have to demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to perform
in an international and culturally different environment.
